About Sunset Beach​ California
Sunset Beach is an oceanfront community in Huntington Beach California. Huntington Beach annexed Sunset Beach in 2011. Its population is 971 as of 2010. First established in 1905 Sunset Beach further developed after oil was discovered in the Huntington Beach Oilfield. Sunset Beach is home to the Sunset Beach Art Festival which is heal every year during mothers day weekend. The festival was first held in 1948 by a local women’s group. The festival is a way to promote social activities and education. It generates tens of thousands of dollars each year, all of which goes to charity.
